Sunday's Message

Today’s Message: 06/12/2011

“Nabuchadnezzar dreamed dreams”

Daniel 2:1-19, 47

God in is reigning power is likened to Nabuchadnezzar. It is so commonly spread through out the world that “God is Love”. While this is true, the word of God backs up that the fact that he cannot stand the very presence of evil. It is through His son Jesus were we as sinners able to be brought into salvation. Nabuchadnezzar asked his host of astrologers and sorcerers to remember and interpret his dream. If they were not able to recall the King’s dream, the King put into place very serious threats on their families.

Daniel asked if he could go before His God and ask if the King’s dream could be revealed to them. The King’s dream was extremely important then and also serves as prophecy.

God longs for his people to live a life that is pleasing unto Him. Contrary to popular belief, God has EXPECTATIONS. When we look at the amount of unyielding power that King Nabuchadnezzar exuded as a mere human being, God’s judgment is made even the more clear.

This very comparison should make those that believe in the one and true God search themselves and make sure they are totally and completely right with God.

God is telling his people to move up higher. God wants a people that are willing to go all the way with them. IT’S TIME. Jesus is soon to come; you do not want your soul to be lost. There is nothing in the world that is WORTH losing your SOUL for. The “church” is filled with people that say they love the Lord, but still do and live like they want to. We are charged to not be one of those people today. Instead of trying to do the minimum, go above and beyond for God, and He will do the same for you.

Sunday's Message - 01/30/2011

Sunday's Message was a continuation on the last couple of weeks on the teachings found in the Book of James.

James 5:14-15

Confession

Confess your faults one to another.

Confess to someone who is spiritual enough to withstand what you may be dealing with. Everyone is not at the level of being able to process the needs of the saints. "And PRAY one for another that you may be healed." If you are in the position to receive someone’s confession you should also be in the position to pray for him or her.

Misconduct- conduct that is unbecoming of the church.

Brothers and sisters may very well be over taken by a fault or a sin. It is very important that you confess your sin. If you don’t acknowledge that something is wrong then there is no deliverance that can be wrought.

We should be praying for a change of mind and a change of heart. Often times people have to realize they have a problem. There are some cases in which the person does not want to be delivered.

With acknowledgement and Confession, you can experience the deliverance of God.

Pray: “Lord I don’t want to be like this, deliver me from this.”

Being HEALED means delivered. God wants to heal our souls.

Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another.

Psalms139:23-24 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. 24 And see if there be any wicked thing in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting.

Wicked means anything that is not right.

PRAY: I come before you because I want to know.

Sunday's Message - 01/23/2011

This Sunday's message continues on last week's study in the book of James.

James 5:13-20 13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. 17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. 19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

PRAY!

If we take a closer look at this scripture we have to take notice as to what we are being asked to do. If we are in trouble, we should PRAY. The word does not tell us to "quote scripture", "read someone's book" or even "read the word", but to PRAY.

Next the scripture asks: "Is any sick among you?" This sickness can be described as MENTAL, PHYSICAL, or SPIRITUAL. The saints need to realize that the church is the hospital for sick people. The scripture tells the sick person to "call" for the elders. The individual must first realize that he or she is not well. The act of calling is vital.

Romans 10:12-14 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

As a Christian, it is key to confess to those that are able to get a prayer through. The question becomes: Can people have that much power? Take Elijah for example. He is an example of an ordinary man that was used extraordinarily by God.

Sunday's Message - 01/16/2011

Prayer and Praise

PRAYER

Elijah was an ordinary human being, just as we are and after he prayed God did not let it ran for three and a half years. Christians have lost the art of prayer and are simply not praying enough.

" NO PRAYER NO POWER. LITTLE PRAYER LITTLE POWER. MUCH PRAYER MUCH POWER."

We need to get back to the basics. Saints of God knew this a long time ago. Like Jesus, they prayed to God all night, until they received a break through. God still longs for a people that want to spend time with him. TITHE your time. Without obedience the saint does not have much of prayer life.

God’s word says: The effectual fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS man (not unrighteous). Sometimes God does not answer prayers because those that are praying need to get in right standing with God. We will see the difference when the power of prayer is going forward. If we want to see deliverance in the lives of our friends and family members, we have to PRAY.

PRAISE

When the prayers have been prayed, then the praises can GO forth. The word of God advises us to sing spiritual songs. Songs inspired by the Holy Ghost. Let God inspire you how to give thanks to Him. We do not have to stick to the conventions of the songs on the Christian/Gospel Radio Station to praise the Lord with.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX SAINTS.

Become inspired. Sing God’s word.
